Asbestos Program Technical Support

EEI’s Compliance Specialists perform Quality Assurance (QA) inspections on asbestos abatement projects, conduct asbestos re-surveys, and update and maintain existing survey records.

Our Specialists provide technical knowledge of Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements concerning asbestos abatement, surveying and sampling.  We collect and process asbestos samples for laboratory analysis as required and assist program managers in compliance with TSCA and OSHA requirements.

Lead Program Technical Support

EEI’s Compliance Specialists evaluates the current lead management program and provides written assessments of the current status.  We implement recommended procedures to include a lead inspection program, a lead tracking database and monthly progress reports.

We provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and OSHA requirements and perform all required lead inspections and coordination.  Our team manages the data collected to maintain the Installation database for lead control.  We also provide technical information to the local community concerning lead issues.

Radon Program Technical Support

EEI’s Compliance Specialists maintain Radon databases and associated information in systems such as the Enviance Environmental Management System (EEMS). We investigate facilities that have been identified as exceeding action levels for radon and prepare recommendations for action such as re-testing, radon mitigation and planning appropriate mitigation systems.  On facilities with existing radon systems, we conduct monthly inspections to determine the effectiveness of the installed systems.
