POLLUTION PREVENTION (P2) AND WASTE MINIMIZATION

The EEI Environmental Services team supports Pollution Prevention (P2) and Waste Minimization programs through source reduction and decreasing the amount of toxic materials entering any waste stream; recycling waste generated to the maximum extent practicable; and assuring that any wastes remaining are treated and/or disposed of in a manner protective of public health and the environment.

Our support procedures reduce pollution at its source and reduce or eliminate the creation of pollutants through increased efficiency in the use of raw materials, energy, water, or other resources. Our efforts focus on improved hazardous materials management, input substitution, product reformation, process redesign or modification, improved operation and maintenance, and integrated recycling.
